The 17th Annual NCCU English Camp is now open for registration! ????
Led by professors and students from the Department of English at National Chengchi University (NCCU), this camp combines professional language training with creative competition. Participants will act as national representatives in our "Global Challenge," diving deep into the charms of Western literature and linguistics. Join us for a 3-day, 2-night journey filled with immersive courses and live-action games. Step out of your comfort zone, show your courage, and compete for the prestigious title of "English Monster"! I. Camp Objectives & Highlights
Hosted by the NCCU English Department Student Association and co-organized by the Department of English, this camp is dedicated to providing professional language training and humanities education. We blend academic depth with dynamic creativity through three core pillars:
???? Professional Academic Guidance: Featuring five expert professors, our curriculum covers oral training, writing, and reading, while introducing students to the worlds of Western literature and linguistics.
???? Edutainment Activities: From outdoor team games to Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) and final presentations, we ensure learning goes far beyond the textbook.
???? Intellectual & Vibrant Atmosphere: Experience the unique energy of NCCU’s English Department. Beyond building a solid foundation in English, you'll meet like-minded friends and embark on a one-of-a-kind learning journey.
II. 2026 Theme: "English Monsters: The Global Challenge"
Inspired by current trends, this year’s theme is the "Global Challenge." Participants from across the country will form teams representing different nations, overcoming various obstacles on their path to glory. Can you strike the perfect balance between individual performance and teamwork to become a true "English Monster"?
III. Event Information
1. Dates: Tuesday, July 7 – Thursday, July 9, 2026 (3 days, 2 nights).
2. Target Audience: High school students nationwide (including graduating 9th and 12th graders).
3. Fees (Includes meals, insurance, course materials, and certificate):
Individual: NT$3,800
Group (2-3 people): NT$3,200 per person
Group (4 people): NT$3,200 per person
Low-income Subsidy: NT$1,000 (limited to 3 spots)
4. Location: Jitao Building, NCCU (Mountain Campus).
5. Registration Period: April 20 (Mon) – May 17 (Sun), 2026.
